Our Stay At The South Congress Hotel

Our Stay at The South Congress Hotel | adoubledose.com

This past week, we had the pleasure of staying at the South Congress Hotel. It is a boutique hotel located in one of our favorite parts of Austin, South Congress. What we love about Austin, especially South Congress, is that there are a ton of restaurants, shopping, and bars, all very walkable! Our Stay at The South Congress Hotel | adoubledose.com

We used to eat and walk around this street all of the time when we went to school in Austin, HOOK ‘EM, so it is always fun to be back! This hotel was actually not even around when we were in school, and was just built a couple of years ago.… Continue Reading

Our Favorite Spots in Dallas: Greenville Avenue

Our Favorite Spots in Dallas: Lower Greenville | adoubledose.comHappy Monday! We just got back Saturday afternoon from a quick stay in Austin at the South Congress Hotel (full post coming on that soon, we LOVED it!), and were supposed to be off today to Cabo for a fun few days at the Breathless Cabo by the marina. Samantha lost her passport somehow, and didn’t realize until 6:30 PM that she couldn’t find it, so we are going to try to rebook our trip as soon as we can. We can’t wait to show you all of our trip once we make it out there! Our Favorite Spots in Dallas: Lower Greenville | adoubledose.comBefore we get into our favorite spots, we wanted to talk about this super cute, tiered dress! It is the prefect spring and summer dress, it is under $50, and comes in a rust color, too. It also comes in a super fun maxi dress that we want! We are wearing an XS in it for reference. We love it with these slingback sandals (super comfy!)

In case you missed our first post on all of our favorite Dallas spots, you can check out that post here.Continue Reading

The Westin Kierland Resort + Spa

Our Stay at the Westin Kierland Resort + Spa | adoubledose.comThis past week, we had the pleasure of staying at the Westin Kierland Resort + Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. From the incredible weather, gorgeous resort grounds, and incredible food, we had an amazing time while we were there. Our Stay at the Westin Kierland Resort + Spa | adoubledose.comIt is only about a two-and-a half-hour flight from Dallas, and just a quick 20 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. We used Uber, and it was super easy and quick! What 1we loved the most was that they are a quick walk to the Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter, which has tons of restaurants and shopping, which we definitely took advantage of. We ate restaurants like True Foods Kitchen, Breakfast Kitchen (their pancakes are AMAZING), and stores like Madewell, Anthropologie, and DryBar. Does it get better than that?!     Our Stay at the Westin Kierland Resort + Spa | adoubledose.com

Our Stay at the Cape, A Thompson Hotel

Our Stay at the Cape, A Thompson Hotel in Cabo | adoubledose.comThis past week my boyfriend and I stayed at the beautiful The Cape, A Thompson Hotel in Cabo San Lucas. I had seen a lot pictures of the hotel and had heard great things about it, but in person, it was incredible. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, it was nothing but amazing!
Our Stay at the Cape, A Thompson Hotel in Cabo | adoubledose.comThe staff is all incredible and so welcoming, and the actual grounds itself are gorgeous. My boyfriend became best friends with all the staff members by the end of the trip because they are all so nice and entertaining (shoutout to Sebastion!). The lobby/front desk area is all outdoors overlooking the ocean and infinity pool, which is so cool. The decor is super contemporary and unique, which I loved. The hotel is just over a year old, but it still feels brand new, and they make you feel as if you are the only people staying at the hotel. The hotel is secluded, but in a good way to where you feel like you have your own private beach and is not overcrowded like some of the other big hotels in the area.… Continue Reading

When we headed out there, we weren’t really sure what we were going to be seeing or doing, but it ended up being SO much fun and SO interesting!

In short, on Tuesday morning, we jetted of to NYC. We arrived in the afternoon, and checked into the Grand Soho Hotel (such a cool boutique hotel located right in the heart of Soho).… Continue Reading

LA Recap

LA Recap- a recap of our trip to LA: where we ate, what we did, and our fave spots | adoubledose.comFINALLY sharing a recap of our trip to LA a couple of weeks ago! In case you missed it, we shared our stay at the Four Seasons Westlake in this post a couple of days ago!

We left Dallas on a very rainy Thursday, so we were excited to get out of the rain and head to sunny LA! I wore my favorite jeans with the comfiest sandals (I have these sandals in three colors!)LA Recap- a recap of our trip to LA: where we ate, what we did, and our fave spots | adoubledose.com{ Grey Tank | Jeans Similar Here | Sam Edelman Gigi Flats | Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM | Fedora HatLA Recap- a recap of our trip to LA: where we ate, what we did, and our fave spots | adoubledose.com{ Coral Peplum Tank | Ripped White Jeans | Rockstud Sandals | Purple Mini Satchel }

Of course, we had food packed for the three-hour flight. Big surprise there, right? We had gotten a salad at the day before at Snappy Salads, which is a place in Dallas where you can create your own salads. We got a huge salad with a ton of veggies, grilled chicken, and balsamic vinegar on the side for dressing!

Our Fave Dallas Eats

You all know we are MAJOR foodies, so we are constantly on Yelp or other apps to find new, fun places to eat! Having lived in Dallas for over two years now, we have gotten a chance to try a ton of restaurants and find places that we go to on the regular. We thought we would share a quick little list of the restaurants we love and what our favorite dishes are to get there!

We know when we are traveling or visiting a new place, we always try to find all the best local places, so if you’re ever in Dallas or if you’re from Dallas, we hope this will help you find some new places to try out (or some new dishes!)

Cedar’s Mediterranean Mezza

We eat here at least once a week (yes, we are that obsessed) and if you have seen our Instagram pages, you know how much we eat when we go here.

They have a HUGE buffet that is a veggie lover’s dream. They have tons of fresh salads, roasted vegetables, hummus, babaghanoush, soups, and other warm dishes- YUM!… Continue Reading

New York City

So, it may be over a week since we got back from our trip to NYC, but we are FINALLY giving a little (or maybe not so little depending how long I ramble) recap of our trip! To sum up in a few words, our trip was a BLAST! We are super close with our mom, and she doesn’t live in the same city as us so it’s always fun to get to spend time with her, especially when it’s somewhere super fun like NYC!

Warning: these pictures may be kind of out of order since I am way too lazy to rearrange them! Forgive me! 🙂

We left early Tuesday morning so that we could get to NYC by the afternoon, and not waste the entire day traveling! That’s the worst, isn’t it!?  When we lived in El Paso, it would legit take us the whole day to travel to the east coast to visit our dad’s family (or it sure felt like it)! To this day, you still have to stop somewhere no matter what airline you travel–so annoying!… Continue Reading
