If there is one food that reminds us of being younger, it would definitely be chicken fingers. It was literally my go-to all the way through college. I would order it at every fast-food place. My main favorites were Sonic, Chick-Fil-A, and Whataburger. Of course, the best part about eating them is dipping them in sauce (and having and excuse to eat with your hands). Let’s be honest, though. I don’t need an excuse to eat with my hands. I eat like a total animal sometimes. These chicken fingers are waaaaay healthier than the fast food ones I used to consume on the daily. Unlike those, these are grain and gluten free, and are not deep fried in a bunch of oil.… Continue Reading

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are getting through the week and that it is flying by so far. We are almost at Wednesday, which means we are halfway through the week!
You all know we are all about easy meals, especially when we are busy and super hungry. We saw these Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Fully Cooked Refrigerated Fajita Chicken Strips at Walmart and thought they were perfect for topping salads or using for fajitas when we have nothing prepped. I could also see these being great in wraps or quesadillas!
Since we are usually running around with crazy schedules we need something quick and easy (and also yummy) to throw together for lunch or dinner. Sometimes we are not in the mood for a salad (since we pretty much eat one a day at least).
Our meals throughout the day usually consist of some kind of vegetable variety, lean protein, and sometimes some extra starchy carbs.
We love these chicken sausages because they are already fully-cooked so all you have to do is pan-cook them or grill them for a few minutes. SO easy! We used the Spicy Jalapeño Al Fresco chicken sausage, which we loved because of the spiciness to it. The ingredients in these are also a plus as they have no added sugars or anything artificial and each link is packed with 14G of protein!… Continue Reading
Can you believe it is that time of year again?! The time when summer comes to an end (although, summer really isn’t over in Dallas until like November) and everyone is back in school.
Since almost everything in our world revolves around food (duh!), we thought we would do a roundup of our own favorite recipes, along with some other favorites from some other awesome bloggers, that are perfect for a Labor Day BBQ, or just yourself!
Y’all know how much we LOVE mediterranean (we don’t think the weekly trip to our fave mediterranean buffet gives that away or anything)! We bought some chicken thighs (which we absolutely love!)–they’re great to get when you’re sick of chicken breasts!
We were thinking about what to have for dinner, and came up with this delicious recipe to change up ou normal chicken routine! It turned out so yummy! It made even more delicious leftovers on top of our salad the next day!
We love anything baked because you pop it in the oven, and its DONZO!
We know we aren’t the only ones who get sudden random cravings. It is like you get the craving and absolutely nothing else can satisfy it. You just have to have that ONE food you want at that moment. For us the other day, it was nachos.
We were at a concert and it seemed like almost everyone sitting around us had gotten nachos. They smelled even more amazing than they looked. Luckily for us, I was NOT hungry at all since we had smartly eaten our weekly mediterranean feast (aka we ate enough food for a family of 12). It is the only time of the day when I am not hungry for at least a few hours.… Continue Reading
We are home visiting our parents, and of course, we went to our favorite place – the grocery store! We stocked up on tons of goodies! We saw some zucchini and wanted to make something delicious with it. We decided to make zoodles (zucchini noodles) with a homemade mediterranean tomato sauce topped with turkey meatballs.
We are so glad we did because this was d e l i c i o u s ! It is SO easy to make, which is also a plus! We are not going to lie to you and tell you that these taste like the real flour-based pastas, but it is a great alternative and satisfies that craving!
