We aren't super religious or anything, but we always like to spend time with our family when it is a holiday. It looks like it is going to be a cloudy week in Dallas, so we are hoping that the forecast is wrong, and the sun decides to make an appearance!

This week, we are sharing an arm workout that just requires a set of dumbbells, so you could totally do this one at home!

Happy Labor Day Weekend! Hope you all are up to something fun or relaxing this weekend. Our parents are coming into town on Sunday for a few days, so we are SO excited! Family time is the best!
Berry Crumble Cheesecake - a berry treat that is gluten free, grain free, and packed with protein | adoubledose.com I made this crumble cheesecake a while back, but totally forgot to share it with you all somehow, so I thought this would be perfect to share with you all this holiday weekend!
Top the cheesecake with the mixed berries and the cruxThe crust is made from coconut flour and protein powder, so it is gluten free, grain free, and packed with protein powder. The cheesecake does have dairy in it, but we are able to eat it in small amounts!

We have a major sweet tooth, as you all know, so healthy desserts are how we cure that!:)

Crust
  1. 60 grams coconut flour
  2. 45 grams vanilla protein powder [we used whey protein]
  3. 5 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
  4. 4 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
  5. Stevia to taste [didn't use any]
Cheesecake Filling
  1. 2 6oz container of yogurt [we used plain]
  2. 2 tbsp coconut flour
  3. 1 egg
  4. 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Grease the sides and bottom of a round springform pan.
  3. To make the crust, combine coconut flour and protein powder in a medium bowl.
  4. Add the almond milk and applesauce.
  5. Combine until a crumbly dough is formed, reserving a little bit for the crumble topping.
  6. Press crust mixture into prepared baking dish evenly.
  7. Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until slightly golden.
  8. While the crust is baking, prepare the cheesecake filling.
  9. To make the filling, combine the yogurt, coconut flour, and egg in a large bowl.
  10. Beat ingredients together until smooth and creamy (we used a hand blender).
  11. Spread the cheesecake filling on top of the crust.
  12. Top the cheesecake with the mixed berries and the crumble topping.
  13. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheesecake has set and doesn't jiggle.
  14. Allow to cool for at least 2 hours before placing in the fridge.
